Sasisen, or Sasi, is a local conservation method that regulates the use of a specific natural resource. The practice is rooted in the communities of eastern Indonesia, such as Saba, Auki Island, Mangguandi Island, and the Padaido Islands in East Biak.
Hatta Island is located in the southern part of the Banda Naira in the Banda Islands, in Indonesia. The island is divided into two villages, the Kampung Baru (Old Village) and Kampung Baru (New Village). Hatta Island is led by a king who runs day-to-day government administrative functions. The majority of the population is Muslim.
